Kids and their grownups are invited to test their knowledge about children’s books, both past and present, as they compete against other families. Prizes will be awarded. 

LEGO enthusiasts are invited to meet and work individually or as a group. All supplies will be provided, and your project will be on display until the next LEGO Club. Bring your imagination and creativity! 

K-grade 6

Join us for a monthly culinary event.  Each month we"ll make a dish while also learning how the recipe and their ingredients are an important part of our culture.  Registration is for all three programs in this cooking series. 

Calling all artists! Stop by the Library and create an original piece of art using a variety of materials set out for self-directed creativity. Finish your project by the end of the hour or bring it with you next month for completion. 

Do you want to make the world a better place? We’ll read a book about someone who made a positive impact on their community, then explore the topic through discussion, and a game or a craft.

Grades 3-6

Stop by the Library to read to a specially trained dog for 15 minutes. Reading time is a one-on-one experience as it provides an opportunity for each child to read aloud without being critiqued.

Whether novice or expert, you’re invited to join us for an afternoon of chess. We will be on hand to teach you the game or give you strategies to boost your skills. Time will be available for instruction and for match play.

Each month, four kids will have the opportunity to create a special shelf display in the Library! Kids will decorate a flyer for their shelf display, then pick out books, movies and games from the Children's department that fit their interests.

Can you tell a green apple from a red one? How about different flavors of potato chips? Can you figure out a food just by reading its ingredients? We'll conduct taste experiments to find out!

Try your hand at being a Kid Librarian! Each month, four kids will get their own display, including a decorated flyer, books, movies and games from the Children’s Department that fit their interests.
