Calling all artists! Stop by the Library and create an original piece of art using a variety of materials set out for self-directed creativity. Finish your project by the end of the hour or bring it with you next month for completion. 

Do you want to make the world a better place? We’ll read a book about someone who made a positive impact on their community, then explore the topic through discussion, and a game or a craft.

Grades 3-6

Stop by the Library to read to a specially trained dog for 15 minutes. Reading time is a one-on-one experience as it provides an opportunity for each child to read aloud without being critiqued.

Whether novice or expert, you’re invited to join us for an afternoon of chess. We will be on hand to teach you the game or give you strategies to boost your skills. Time will be available for instruction and for match play.

Each month, four kids will have the opportunity to create a special shelf display in the Library! Kids will decorate a flyer for their shelf display, then pick out books, movies and games from the Children's department that fit their interests.

LEGO enthusiasts are invited to meet and work individually or as a group. All supplies will be provided, and your project will be on display until the next LEGO Club. Bring your imagination and creativity!

Get ready to race! Learn the secrets of winning a Pinewood Derby from a derby expert with over 60 years of experience.  You’ll learn the physics of the Pinewood Derby and all the aspects of making a fast car.

 In Storybook Theater, kids bring folk and fairy tales to life through fun readers theater! No acting experience needed—just come ready to imagine, play and enjoy some favorite stories together.

To celebrate Martin Luther King Jr. Day, the library will be hosting a Day of Service dedicated to supporting our community! Come by our drop-in stations to make items for local organizations.
