Join us for a monthly culinary experience.  Each month we"ll cook a dish while also learning how the recipe and their ingredients are an important part of our culture.

Whether novice or expert, you’re invited to join us for an afternoon of chess. We will be on hand to teach you the game or give you strategies to boost your skills. Time will be available for instruction and for match play.

Legend has it that on the very day this class is held, a spooky specter will return from the beyond to… Wait! What was that?! Did you hear that?! It’s… it’s… A terrifically fun cartooning class! You’ll draw ghosts! Ghouls! Goblins! And Gary!!!

LEGO enthusiasts are invited to meet and work individually or as a group. All supplies will be provided, and your project will be on display until the next LEGO Club. Bring your imagination and creativity! 

Preschool-grade 6

Gather 'round the campfire to share spooky and not-so-spooky stories, play Truth or Scare and have some Halloween fun. Costumes welcome. Join us—if you dare! 

Calling all artists! Stop by the Library and create an original piece of art using a variety of materials set out for self-directed creativity. Finish your project by the end of the hour or bring it with you next month for completion. 

Do you want to make the world a better place? We’ll read a book about someone who made a positive impact on their community, then explore the topic through discussion, and a game or a craft.

Grades 3-6

Stop by the Library to read to a specially trained dog for 15 minutes. Reading time is a one-on-one experience as it provides an opportunity for each child to read aloud without being critiqued.

Each month, four kids will have the opportunity to create a special shelf display in the Library! Kids will decorate a flyer for their shelf display, then pick out books, movies and games from the Children's department that fit their interests.
