“A Binding Truth” is an award-winning documentary that tells the story of two high school classmates, one Black, one White, from 1965 in Charlotte, North Carolina. Separated after one of them transfers to another school, they reconnect when a shocking discovery reveals secrets buried in church records that would change their lives. Their story is also America’s story of slavery’s legacy and our current racial divide.
